You only ever see slots they can genuinely make, with their travel time to you already accounted for.

They confirm
Your card is held, not charged. Some professionals confirm instantly; others accept requests themselves. You are told either way.

They come to you
You get a message when they set off and when they arrive. The card is charged once the appointment is done, and a receipt follows by email.
Every professional is approved by a person.
Nobody can take a booking on Doorcut until their identity has been verified and a real person has reviewed and approved them. Not an automatic check — someone looks.
Reviews can only be written by someone whose appointment actually happened, so there is no way to post one without having been there. You can report anything that is not right, and we act on it within one working day.
Doorcut does not run criminal record checks. What we verify is identity and, where we ask for it, a document.
